چکیده
Tropospheric ozone (O3) is an important abiotic stress to plants and its rising concentration adversely affects crop yield. The studies associated with differential responses of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) cultivars chronic elevated O3 are lacking need be further explored for the recognition resistant as adaptive strategy. In present research, differentially heat sensitive were treated (ambient + 20 ppb) determine their by estimating foliar injury symptoms, variations in growth, physiology, reproductive yield related attributes. All exhibited symptoms under treatment, intensity corroborated loss. Elevated treatment negatively impacted biomass, physiological characteristics all cultivars. hierarchal cluster analysis, cumulative response index indices differentiated into sensitive, moderately tolerant categories. thermotolerant, VRT02 Kashi chayan (O3 resistant) demonstrated lower losses, whereas thermotolerant sensitive) Superbug higher injury, greater alterations growth traits resulting losses than other different sensitivity did not respond similarly towards stress. Cultivars VRT 02 can recommended cultivation areas experiencing high vis-à-vis temperature conditions.

Mitigation of Nitrous Oxide and Methane Emissions from Rice-wheat System of the Indo- Gangetic Plain
Mitigation of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emission from soil is important to reduce the global warming. Efficacy of six nitrification inhibitors i.e. neem cake, thiosulphate, coated calcium carbide, neem oil, hydroquinone and dicyandiamide (DCD) in mitigating N2O and CH4 emissions from fertilized soil in rice-wheat system, which occupies 13.5 million ha of the most productive lands in...
متن کاملGrowth and yield responses of two forage sorghum cultivars to different nitrogen fertilizer rates
In order to evaluate the impact of different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer on growth and yield of two forage sorghum cultivars, a 2-year field experiment was carried out at the College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran during 2010 and 2011 growing seasons. Two factorial experiments were carried out in randomized block design with three replicates, in which the treatments included...
متن کاملEvaluation of growth, yield, relative performance and heat susceptibility of eight wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotypes grown under heat stress
Eight spring wheat cultivars were evaluated under three heat stress conditions (early, late and very late) in order to identify suitable cultivars to develop heattolerant genotypes resistant to future global warming. Results from the study indicate that stress did not negatively affect flag leaf area in ‘Prodip’ and ‘Sufi’, flag leaf dry matter partitioning in ‘Prodip’, ‘BARI Gom-26’ and ‘S...
متن کاملOzone exposure response for U.S. soybean cultivars: linear reductions in photosynthetic potential, biomass, and yield.
Current background ozone (O(3)) concentrations over the northern hemisphere's midlatitudes are high enough to damage crops and are projected to increase. Soybean (Glycine max) is particularly sensitive to O(3); therefore, establishing an O(3) exposure threshold for damage is critical to understanding the current and future impact of this pollutant. This study aims to determine the exposure resp...
